๐Ÿ“TED Talks ๐Ÿ—ฃ

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today I am going to be talking about my experience of making, learning, and listening to TED Talks, so letโ€™s get started! โœจ

First, to get us prepared and to see what our TED talks should look like, we watched a few TED talks. We did this for about two weeks, but it was a little here, and a little there. ๐Ÿ—ฃ

Next we started thinking about what our TED talks should be about. I was debating between two: Stress and Anxiety, or Learning how to take care of a Bunny? I ended up choosing How to take care of a Bunny because I liked that idea much better than stress and anxiety. Stress and anxiety may have been better for presenting, but I love bunnies and I find them interesting creatures to learn about, so I choose How To Take Care Of A Bunny! (The proper way.) I think that that might also be a cool idea for a blog post, but I can do that after I finish this one. ๐Ÿฐ

The research for me wasnโ€™t that hard because this was a topic that I was mostly familiar with. I did check my facts before writing them down, but that didnโ€™t take as long as it would to have learned everything from โœจGoOgLe.โœจ I did need to know about why baby bunnies used Alfalfa hay, and what greens were okay for a bunny to eat and what not, but that was about it.ย

Creating my presentation was not as hard as I thought it would be either because I mostly wrote everything down on index cards for the speech part of it. The slides was mostly pictures from Creative commons, pictures of Espresso, (my bunny) or Photos for class, which are copyright photos that anyone can use. ๐Ÿ“ Here is a picture of what my Title slide looks like:

Once I was finished with everything and I liked how everything sounded and looked, I practiced talking about my topic in front of my Dad, then my Mom, then the entire family including my sister, then once before I went to school. I thought the process of practicing was a little hard because you should have most of your cards memorized. I was a little slow going in this process so I struggled at the end to memorize at least half my cards. ๐Ÿ˜›

Presenting my project was terrifying. At first, I was crunched up, and trying to speak louder. Towards the middle of my presentation, I started getting more comfortable, and towards the end, I was feeling good about my presentation and within the next 6 minutes, my presentation was over! It was a super fun experience getting up and presenting to my classmates and teacher. ๐Ÿคฉ

My classmates said that I did well, they liked my pictures, and they loved the bunny. Iโ€™m happy about the last part. ๐Ÿ’—

Thank you so much for reading this and I hope you all have an amazing summer ahead of you! โ˜€๏ธ
